my childhoold

When I was little my mother and I used to watch movies together on TV. We would watch all types of movies together but most of the movies we watched were Disney movies. Of all the movies we had watched, I will always recall the "Witch Mountain" movies with much love.

Escape from Witch Mountain was the first movie in that introduced us to Tia and Tony, siblings who possessed "special" powers and were trying to get back home. This was the first time I had ever seen a special effect; looking back at the movies now they seem a bit silly but at that time it was unbelievable. I was an impressionable child. In Return to Witch Mountain, Tia and Tony are back as teenagers with a visit to Los Angeles and when they try to prevent an accident Tony gets taken by the bad guys who uses a device to control his mind. Control his mind you say, "Oh no, not Tony!!!!" I was really scared for him, but his sister Tia came to his rescue with the help of a gang of kids she met to help her get Tony back so they can get home. Simple synopsis but for a child of 10+ to see it for the first time...It was awesome!!!!

Now I've just found out that there is a new installment to the Witch Mountain series. Race to Witch Mountain is coming March 13, 2009.

Here's the info on the latest movie....Two young siblings (AnnaSophia Robb and Alexander Ludwig) find themselves on the run from a dark organization seeking to exploit their paranormal abilities in this remake of the beloved Disney classic. A helpful cab driver (Dwayne Johnson) and a UFO specialist (Carla Gugino) try to keep the kids safe. Kim Richards (Tia) and Ike Eisenmann(Tony), who played the siblings in the original movie, co-star, along with CiarĂ¡n Hinds and Cheech Marin.

I can't wait to see it!!! I can't believe they got Tia and Tony to return for this movie. I'm so excited.
